WASHINGTON COUNTY LAWYER REINSTATED
By Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court entered April 30, 2026, Washington County attorney Jeffrey
Dennis Johnson, shall be reinstated to the active practice of law on May 1, 2026.
On April 1, 2026, Jeffrey Dennis Johnson was suspended by the Supreme Court of Tennessee for two (2)
years with thirty (30) days to be served as an active suspension and the remainder on probation subject to
conditions including employment of a practice monitor during the probationary period and repayment of all Board
costs. Mr. Johnson filed a Petition for Reinstatement to the practice of law pursuant to Tennessee Supreme Court
Rule 9, Section 30.4(c) on April 1, 2026. The Board found the petition to be satisfactory and submitted an Order
of Reinstatement to the Court.
Mr. Johnsonâs reinstatement to the active practice of law is conditioned upon his continuing compliance
with, and timely satisfaction of, the conditions set forth in the Order of the Supreme Court entered April 1, 2026.
