The above complaint was ï¬led against Yvette Y. Cain, an attorney licensed to practice
law'111 Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 9, the
Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on September 10,

Respondent. representedComplainant in a: postâdivorce child support modiï¬cation
dispute. The matter was set for a ï¬nal hearing on June 30, 2005, at which time the parties came
to an agreement which was announced to the court. On July 6, 2005, Respondent ï¬led the
Agreed Order with the court clerk. Respondent failed to take further action in the case. In
August, 2006, Complainant requested a copy of the ï¬nal order. Respondent soon realized that
the order had not been signed by the judge. Due to additional delays, a ï¬nal orderwas not
entered in the matter until May 19, 2009. The delay in entry of the order prejudiced
Complainantsâ ability to enforce the order. I I
