PUBLIC CENSURE

The above complaint was filed against Yvette Y. Cain, an attorney licensed to practice

law'111 Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 9, the

Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on September 10,

Respondent. representedComplainant in a: post—divorce child support modification

dispute. The matter was set for a final hearing on June 30, 2005, at which time the parties came

to an agreement which was announced to the court. On July 6, 2005, Respondent filed the

Agreed Order with the court clerk. Respondent failed to take further action in the case. In

August, 2006, Complainant requested a copy of the final order. Respondent soon realized that

the order had not been signed by the judge. Due to additional delays, a final orderwas not

entered in the matter until May 19, 2009. The delay in entry of the order prejudiced

Complainants’ ability to enforce the order. I I

By the aforementioned facts, Yvette Y. Cain has violated Rifles of Professional Conduct
