BEDFORD COUNTY LAWYER REINSTATED

On October 9, 2017, the Supreme Court of Tennessee reinstated the law license of Robert Lee Marlow.
Mr. Marlow had been temporarily suspended by the Supreme Court of Tennessee on August 25, 2017, for
failing to respond to the Board of Professional Responsibility regarding a complaint of misconduct. Section
12.3 of Supreme Court Rule 9 provides for the immediate summary suspension of an attorney’s license to
practice law in cases of an attorney’s failure to respond to the Board regarding a complaint of misconduct. Mr.
Marlow submitted a response to the Board regarding the complaint of misconduct, and filed a Petition to
Dissolve Temporary Suspension on September 1, 2017. A Panel appointed to hear the Petition recommended to
the Supreme Court that the temporary suspension be dissolved. Mr. Marlow was ordered to pay costs and
expenses of the proceeding.
