ORDER DISSOLVING TEMPORARY SUSPENSION
On July 14, 2014, the Court entered an Order of Temporary Suspension pursuant
to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 4.3 1 , suspending the law license of Elbert Jefferson, Jr., due to
Mr. Jefferson's failure to respond to the Board of Professional Responsibility concerning
a complaint of misconduct. On July 28, 2014, Mr. Jefferson filed a Petition to Dissolve
Temporary Suspension. On August 18, 2014, a hearing was conducted before a three-
member Hearing Panel of the Board of Professional Responsibility.
On August 20, 2014, the Hearing Panel entered its Report and Recommendation
that Mr. Jefferson's temporary suspension be dissolved. A copy of the Report and
Recommendation of the Hearing Panel is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED THAT:
1. The temporary suspension imposed on Elbert Jefferson, Jr., by Order of
Temporary Suspension filed July 14, 2014, shall be dissolved.
2. Mr. Jefferson shall reimburse and pay to the Board of Professional
Responsibility the costs and expenses of this proceeding in the amount of $381.80, within
ninety (90) days, and shall pay to the Clerk of this Court the costs incurred herein, for all
of which execution shall issue, if necessary.

REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION
This matter came on for a telephonic hearing before a duly appointed Hearing Panel on
August 18, 2014, upon a Petition for Dissolution of Temporary Suspension filed by the Elbert
Jefferson, Jr. pursuant to Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, § 43•1 Present were Joe G. Riley,
Panel Chair; Margaret Craddock, Panel Member; Odell Horton, Jr., Panel Member; Elbert
Jefferson, Jr., Petitioner; and, Alan D. Johnson, Disciplinary Counsel. Upon statements of
Petitioner and Disciplinary Counsel, evidence presented, and upon the entire record in this cause,
the Panel makes the following findings and recommendation.
1. After initially responding to a complaint, Mr. Jefferson failed to respond to multiple
requests for subsequent information and documentation.
2. On July 14, 2014, the Court entered an Order of Temporary Suspension suspending
Mr. Jefferson pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 4.3, due to his failure to respond to
requests for additional information.

3. On July 28, 2014, Mr. Jefferson filed a Petition to Dissolve Temporary Suspension
which included proof of compliance with Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 18.
4. Mr. Jefferson has now adequately complied with the requests for information and.
documentation.
S. Good cause exists to dissolve the Order of Temporary Suspension.
Based upon the foregoing, the Panel recommends that the Order of Temporary
Suspension be dissolved conditioned upon the Mr. Jefferson updating his contact information
with the Board of Professional Responsibility no later than 4:30 p. m. August 20, 2014.
