TENNESSEE LAWYER SUSPENDED

On March 11, 2020, the Tennessee Supreme Court suspended James Austin Dukes from the practice of
law until further orders of the Court pursuant to Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Section 22.3. Mr. Dukes
was found guilty of theft of $25,000.00 or more; theft of assets of aged; and exploitation of the infirmed in
Docket 1-703267 in the State of Louisiana, Parish of Tangipahoa.
Pursuant to the Order of the Supreme Court, the matter has been referred to the Board to institute formal
proceedings to determine the extent of the final discipline to be imposed upon Mr. Dukes as a result of his
conviction of a serious crime.

Mr. Dukes must comply with Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Sections 28 and 30.4, regarding the
obligations and responsibilities of suspended attorneys.
