Disbarred by order entered January 17, 2001. He had engaged in illegal conduct involving the
use of controlled substances. His license had been previously temporarily suspended on May 14,
1998 on the grounds of irreparable harm to the public, but he violated the suspension order by
serving as a clerk for a lawyer while suspended and by taking money from a client for future
services. He also failed to comply with his contract with Lawyers Helping Lawyers relative to
his abuse of controlled substances.
