PUBLIC CENSURE
The above complaint was ï¬led Ingainst Kent Lowery Booker, an attorney licensed to
practice law in Tetmessee, alleging certain acts ofmisconduct Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9,
the Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on June 13,
2014.
Mr. Booher failed to maintain reasonable communication with his client while
representing him in the Court of Appeals. Most notably, Mr. Booher failed to inform his client
that the appeal had been denied. The client did not learn of the adverse deeision'until two
months after the court issued its opinion, when he received a cost bill; thus the client was
precluded ï¬-om seeking permission to appeal to the Tennessee Supreme Court.
By the aforementioned nets, Mr. Booker has violated Rule of Professional Conduct 1.4
(communication) and is hereby Publicly Coneured for this violation.
