PUBLIC CENSURE

The above complaint was filed against James D. R. Roberts, Jr., #017537, an attorney

licensed to practice law in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of nfiscOnduct. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup.

Ct. R. 9, the Board ofProfessional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on June

8, 2018.

While Mr. Roberts was serving a six~month suspension from the practice oflaw, he worked

for a mailing service called YourDemandLetters.eom, which provided mailing services for his law

firm. He utilized his law firm email address to communicate with a client and furnish the client -

with copies of demand letters being sent from his law firm through the mailing service. Mr.

Roberts’ conduct constituted the unauthorized practice of law.

By the aforementioned acts, Mr. Roberts has violated Rule of Professional Conduct 5.5
