MISSISSIPPI LAWYER SUSPENDED
On August 1, 2007, the Supreme Court of Tennessee entered an Order suspending John Julian
Morse from the practice of law for a period of one (1) year.
The Board of Professional Responsibility filed a Petition for Imposition of Reciprocal Discipline
based upon the fact that John Julian Morse was suspended December 14, 2006, by the Supreme Court of
Mississippi for neglect and failure to communicate with his clients.
The Tennessee Supreme Court ordered that John Julian Morse, who also holds a Tennessee
license, be suspended from the practice of law in the State of Tennessee for a period of one (1) year.
Mr. Morse, may after one (1) year, apply for reinstatement, but he must carry the burden of
proving by clear and convincing evidence that his reinstatement will not be detrimental to the integrity and
standing of the bar or the administration of justice or be subversive to the public interest.
