MADISON COUNTY LAWYER CENSURED
On October 22, 2010, Elizabeth G. Ford, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee,
received a Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Ms. Ford made payments of law firm expenses from her trust account. Ms. Ford did not use client
funds to pay her expenses. Ms. Ford, nonetheless, commingled attorney funds with client funds in
violation of RPC 1.15(a).
By these acts, Elizabeth G. Ford has violated Rules of Professional Conduct RPC 1.15(a)
(safekeeping property and funds), and is hereby, publicly censured for these violations. A Public Censure
is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorneyâs ability to practice law.
