MEMPHIS LAWYER PUBLICLY CENSURED

On October 24, 2006, the Board of Professional Responsibility issued a Public
Censure to Steven T. Stanton of Memphis, Tennessee. He did not request a hearing.

On March 17, 2006, in “The Matter of Jane Stanton” pending in the Probate Court
of Ingraham County, Michigan, No. 03-215-CA, a bench warrant was issued on Respondent for
failure to comply with a court order in relation to Respondent’s Conservatorship of Jane Stanton.
Respondent failed to appear in violation of court order in violation of Rule 8.4(a)(d)(g) of the
Tennessee Rules of Professional Conduct.

A public censure is a form of discipline that declares the conduct of the lawyer
improper but does not limit the lawyer’s right to practice law.
