LAW LICENSE OF KNOXVILLE LAWYER SUSPENDED
On October 17, 2006, the Supreme Court of Tennessee issued an order suspending the
law license of David Andrew Lufkin, who last practiced law in Knoxville. This is an
immediate temporary suspension issued pursuant to Section 4.3 of Rule 9, Rules of the
Tennessee Supreme Court. In issuing the suspension, the Court found that Mr. Lufkin
posed a threat of substantial harm to the public.
Section 4.3 provides that Mr. Lufkin may continue to represent existing clients for 30
days from the date of the suspension. He may not take any new clients. After 30 days,
he must cease all representation of clients.
The suspension shall continue until further orders of the Court. Mr. Lufkin may make an
application for dissolution or modification of this order as provided in Rule 9, Rules of
the Tennessee Supreme Court.
