(Shelby County)

ORDER TRANSFERRING ATTORNEY TO
DISABILITY INACTIVE STATUS

This matter is before the Court upon a petition to transfer George Ernest Skouteris
to disability inactive status filed by the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility
pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 27.4.

Upon due consideration of documentation from Mr. Skouteris’ health care
provider submitted by Mr. Skouteris, the Court concludes that George Ernest Skouteris
suffers from a disability by reason of illness which precludes him from practicing law or
defending against pending disciplinary proceedings.

George Ernest Skouteris is currently disbarred pursuant to orders of this Court
entered February 21, 2014, April 21, 2015, and February 9, 2016, and they remain in
effect.

IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND
DECREED BY THE COURT THAT:

1. The law license of George Ernest Skouteris shall be transferred to disability
inactive status for an indefinite period of time and until further orders of the Supreme
Court.

2. All pending disciplinary proceedings are suspended until such time as Mr.
Skouteris is removed from disability inactive status.

3. Mr. Skouteris shall be allowed to petition for reinstatement to active status
pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 27.7.

4. The Board shall publish notice of this transfer pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R.
9, §§ 27.5 and 28.11.
5. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 32.4, documents other than this Order
relating to Mr. Skouteris’ disability proceeding shall not be public records and shall be
kept confidential.
