ORDER TRANSFERRING ATTORNEY TO
DISABILITY INACTIVE STATUS
This matter is before the Court upon a notice of disability pursuant to Tenn. Sup.
Ct. R. 9, § 27.4 filed by attorney Patrick M. Kelley. Mr. Kelley filed a supplement with
medical documentation on May 30, 2018.
Upon due consideration of documentation from Mr. Kelleyâs medical care
provider, the Court concludes that Patrick M. Kelley is currently incapacitated from
continuing the practice of law and defending against disciplinary proceedings.
IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED,
DECREED BY THE COURT THAT:
ORDERED,
ADJUDGED
AND
1.
The law license of Patrick M. Kelley shall be transferred to disability
inactive status for an indefinite period of time and until further orders of the Supreme
Court.
2.
Mr. Kelley shall be allowed to petition for reinstatement to active status
pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 27.7.
3.
The Board shall publish notice of this transfer pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R.
9, §§ 27.5 and 28.11.
4.
Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 32.4, documents other than this Order
relating to Mr. Kelleyâs disability proceeding shall not be public records and shall be kept
confidential.
5.
The Court deems it proper and advisable to suspend disciplinary
proceedings against Mr. Kelley until further Orders of this Court, pursuant to Tenn. Sup.
Ct. R. 9, § 27.4(b).
