SHELBYVILLE LAWYER SUSPENDED BY SUPREME COURT

By Order of the Supreme Court of Tennessee filed October 28, 2002, William Mark
Russell's license to practice law was temporarily suspended, pursuant to Section 4.3 of Rule 9,
Rules of the Sup reme Court of Tennessee, upon a finding that Mr. Russell had failed to respond
to the Board of Professional Responsibility concerning a complaint of misconduct and that he
posed a threat of irreparable harm to the public.

The October 28, 2002, Order precludes Mr. Russell from accepting any new cases
effective October 28, 2002. Mr. Russell may continue to represent existing clients for thirty
days. Mr. Russell must cease representing existing clients effective November 27, 2002. After
November 27, 2002, Mr. Russell shall not use any indicia of lawyer, legal assistant, or law clerk,
nor maintain a presence where the practice of law is conducted.

The Order requires Mr. Russell to notify by registered or certified mail all clients being
represented in pending matters, as well as co-counsel and opposing counsel, of the Supreme
Court's Order suspending his law license. Section 18 of Supreme Court Rule 9 requires Mr.
Russell to deliver to all clients any papers or property to which they are entitled.

Mr. Russell may for good cause request dissolution or modification of this suspension by petition
to the Supreme Court. This suspension remains in effect until dissolution or modification by the
Supreme Court. This suspension remains in effect until dissolution or modification by the
Supreme Court.
