BRISTOL LAWYER CENSURED

On September 18, 2007, the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of
Tennessee issued a public censure relative to Charles L. Moffatt, IV, who practices law in Bristol.

A client retained Mr. Moffatt in 2001 to represent her in her divorce. During his representation
of the client, Respondent failed to adequately communicate with her. The Board thereby found that
Mr. Moffatt violated DR 7-101(A) (Rule 8, Rules of the Supreme Court of Tennessee), which was
applicable during the time of this representation.

This censure does not restrict Mr. Moffatt’s ability to practice law. It may be used as an
aggravating factor if Mr. Moffatt ever commits any other disciplinary violations.
