KNOX COUNTY LAWYER DISBARRED AND ORDERED TO PAY RESTITUTION

On August 15, 2011, the Tennessee Supreme Court disbarred Knox County attorney, Robert L.
McReynolds, and ordered that he pay restitution totaling $4,000 to three former clients pursuant to Tennessee
Supreme Court Rule 9, Sections 4.1. Mr. McReynolds violated disciplinary rules by accepting fees but then
neglecting client matters, by failing to communicate with clients and failing to respond to the Board of
Professional Responsibility. Mr. McReynolds’ actions violated Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 8; Rules of
Professional Conduct 1.3 (Diligence); 1.4 (Communication); 1.5 (Fees); 1.16 (Terminating Representation);
and 8.1(b) (Disciplinary Matters).

Mr. McReynolds was further ordered to pay the expenses and costs of the disciplinary proceedings
against him, pursuant to Rule 9, Section 24.3, of the Rules of the Supreme Court and fully comply in all
respects with the requirements and obligations of disbarred attorneys as set forth in Rule 9, Section 18.1 of
the Rules of the Supreme Court.
