IN DISCIPLINARY DISTRICT VI
OF THE
BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
OF THE
SUPREME COURT OF TENNESSEE

IN RE: Tiffany M. Johns, BPR No. 027860 FILE No. 71685-6-ES
Respondent, an attorney licensed
to practice law in Tennessee
(Williamson County)
____________________________________________________________________________

PUBLIC CENSURE
____________________________________________________________________________

The above complaint was filed against Tiffany M. Johns, an attorney licensed to practice

law in Tennessee, alleging certain acts of misconduct. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, the Board

of Professional Responsibility considered this matter at its meeting on June 9, 2023.

A client hired Ms. Johns to represent her in an uncontested divorce. Ms. Johns was

provided the correct address for the estranged spouse in June 2022, and she did not send a draft

marital dissolution agreement to the spouse until November 2022. After the marital dissolution

agreement was executed, Ms. Johns appeared in court for the hearing to enter the final decree on

April 17, 2023, but she did not provide the court with the original decree for entry. The final

decree of divorce was not entered until June 22, 2023. Ms. Johns failed to respond to requests for

information from her client.

By the aforementioned acts, Tiffany M. Johns is in violation of Rules of Professional

Conduct 1.3 (diligence), and 1.4 (communication) and is hereby Publicly Censured for these

violations.
