NASHVILLE LAWYER DISBARRED
On September 8, 2008, James David Leckrone of Nashville, Tennessee was disbarred by Order of the
Tennessee Supreme Court.
The Board of Professional Responsibility filed a Petition for Final Discipline against Mr. Leckrone
based on Mr. Leckroneâs pleading guilty in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee
to filing a false tax return. Mr. Leckrone consented to disbarment because he could not successfully defend
himself against the Boardâs charges.
Mr. Leckrone must comply with the requirements of § 19 of Rule 9, of the Rules of the Supreme Court,
should he seek reinstatement of his Tennessee law license and may not resume the practice of law until
reinstated by further order of the Tennessee Supreme Court. Mr. Leckrone must further comply with § 18 of
Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court regarding the obligations and responsibilities of disbarred attorneys.
