PANOLA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI LAWYER REINSTATED

On April 1, 2016, the Supreme Court of Tennessee reinstated the law license of Shannon Allen Jones, of
Crenshaw, Mississippi, effective immediately. Mr. Jones’ license to practice law in Tennessee was suspended
on September 13, 2012, for a period of three years based upon his conviction for conspiracy to manufacture and
possess methamphetamine with the intent to distribute in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846.

Pursuant to Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Section 30.4(d) (2014), Mr. Jones filed a Petition for
Reinstatement on October 19, 2015, and a Hearing Panel determined Mr. Jones complied with the terms and
conditions of his suspension; demonstrated the moral qualifications, competency and learning in the law
required for the practice of law; and his resumption of the practice of law in Tennessee would not be
detrimental to the integrity or standing of the bar or administration of justice, or subversive to the public
interest. The Hearing Panel recommended Mr. Jones be reinstated to the practice of law conditioned upon
engagement of a practice monitor and his continued participation in a monitoring agreement with the Tennessee
Lawyers’ Assistance Program. The Supreme Court accepted the Hearing Panel’s recommendation and
reinstated Mr. Jones’ license to practice law. Mr. Jones must pay the costs of the reinstatement proceeding.
