NASHVILLE LAWYER SUSPENDED
On September 9, 2008, the Tennessee Supreme Court entered an Order suspending the law license of
Linda Diane Schlanger Harris for five (5) years, retroactive to June 29, 2006.
The Board of Professional Responsibility filed a Petition for Final Discipline against Ms. Harris based
upon Ms. Harrisâ pleading guilty to conspiracy to defraud mortgage loan companies and financial institutions.
Ms. Harris submitted a Conditional Guilty Plea agreeing to be suspended from the practice of law for five (5)
years, retroactive to June 29, 2006. Ms. Harrisâ actions violated the Rules of Professional Conduct.
Ms. Harris must comply with requirements of § 19 of Rule 9, of the Rules of the Supreme Court, should
she seek reinstatement of her Tennessee law license and may not resume the practice of law until reinstated by
further order of the Tennessee Supreme Court. Ms. Harris must further comply with § 18 of Rule 9, of the
Rules of the Supreme Court, regarding the obligations and responsibilities of suspended attorneys.
