TENNESSEE LAWYER DISBARRED

Effective November 8, 2019, Maurice Rudolph Franks, now a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana was
disbarred by Order of Reciprocal Discipline entered by the Supreme Court of Tennessee on November 8, 2019.
Mr. Franks was disbarred from the practice of law by Order of the Supreme Court of Colorado entered May 14,
1990. On September 17, 2019, this Court entered a Notice of Reciprocal Discipline directing Mr. Franks to
demonstrate to this Court, within thirty (30) days of receipt of the Notice, why the discipline imposed by the
Supreme Court of Colorado should not be imposed by this Court. On October 9, 2019, Mr. Franks filed a
response to the Court’s September 17, 2019 Order. On October 22, 2019, the Board filed a reply to Mr. Franks’
response as was requested by the Court.

Mr. Franks must comply with the requirements of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Sections 28 and
30.4, regarding the obligations and responsibilities of disbarred attorneys. Mr. Franks must pay the Board’s
costs and expenses and the court costs within ninety (90) days of the entry of the order.
