DAVIDSON COUNTY LAWYER CENSURED
On October 19, 2009, John Lowe, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received a Public
Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Lowe was retained to place a furnisherâs lien on a piece of property where the Complainantâs company
had performed mechanical work. The property on which the lien was to be placed was subsequently sold, and
Lowe had failed to place the lien on the property. Therefore, the Complainantâs lien rights expired. Despite
repeatedly promising to reimburse the Complainant the money that the Complainant lost, Lowe failed to make
any reimbursement.
By the aforementioned facts, John Lowe, has violated Rules of Professional Conduct 1.3, 8.1(a), and
8.4(c) and is hereby Publicly Censured for these violations.
