ORDER OF REINSTATEMENT
This matter is before the Court, pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(c),
upon a Petition for Reinstatement filed on June 6, 2024, by the Petitioner, Kent
Thomas Jones. Mr. Jones was suspended from the practice of law by Order of this
Court on February 26, 2024, for a period of ninety (90) days. A Notice of
Submission was filed by Chief Disciplinary Counsel indicating that the petition is
satisfactory to the Board, that Mr. Jones has satisfied all conditions set forth in the
Order imposing discipline other than payment of certain costs which this Order
addresses, and that he is eligible for reinstatement.
From all of which, the Court grants the Petition for Reinstatement.
IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND
DECREED BY THE COURT:
1.
The Petitioner, Kent Thomas Jones, is hereby reinstated to the practice
of law in the state of Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(c) and subject
to the terms and conditions of his probation.
2.
Mr. Jones shall pay to the Clerk of this Court the costs incurred herein
within ninety (90) days of the entry of this Order, for which execution may issue if
necessary.
3.
As a condition of reinstatement, Mr. Jones, to complete satisfaction of
his payment of costs to the Board of Professional Responsibility, shall make two (2)
payments of $1,150.50 to the Board of Professional Responsibility. The first
payment is to be received by the Board no later than thirty (30) days from the date
of this Order, and the second payment is to be received by the Board no later than

sixty (60) days from the date of this Order.
4.
The Board of Professional Responsibility shall cause notice of this
reinstatement to be published as required by Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28.11.
