MEMPHIS LAWYER REINSTATED AND CENSURED

On October 22, 2008, Terry Allen Scott, of Memphis, Tennessee, was publicly censured by the Board of
Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Additionally, the Tennessee Supreme Court
dissolved Mr. Scott’s temporary suspension imposed by Order filed March 19, 2008.

The Board of Professional Responsibility filed a Petition for Discipline against Mr. Scott pursuant to
Rule 9, Rules of the Supreme Court. Mr. Scott submitted a Conditional Guilty Plea for neglecting a client’s
divorce.

Mr. Scott was temporarily suspended on March 19, 2008 for failing to respond to a complaint filed with
the Board of Professional Responsibility. Mr. Scott’s temporary suspension was dissolved by the Supreme
Court’s Order of October 22, 2008.

Mr. Scott’s actions violated the Rules of Professional Conduct and for those violations Mr. Scott is
publicly censured. A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but does not affect the attorney’s
ability to practice law.
