IN THE SUPREME COURT OF TENNESSEE
09/09/2025
AT NASHVILLE
IN RE: ANDREWNETTA MELISSA BOYD, BPR NO. 025894
An Attorney Licensed to Practice Law in Tennessee
(Shelby County)
_____________________________
No. M2025-01339-SC-BAR-BP
_____________________________
ORDER OF ADDITIONAL SUSPENSION
This matter is before the Court on a Petition of the Board of Professional
Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee (hereinafter âthe Boardâ), by and
through Disciplinary Counsel, for the temporary suspension of Andrewnetta Melissa Boyd,
Respondent, from the practice of law pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 12.3.
Respondent has already been suspended for more than one year. She is already
ineligible to practice law. The present Petition seeks to impose additional discipline on
Respondent, based on her failure to respond to the Boardâs recent requests for information
during its investigation of the complaints against Respondent.
Based upon the Petition, authorized by the Chair of the Board and supported by the
Affidavit of Tiffany D. Tant-Shafer, the Court finds that Respondent has failed to respond
to the Board concerning specific supplemental requests for information regarding a
complaint of misconduct.
IT IS THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED
BY THE COURT THAT:
1. Andrewnetta Melissa Boyd is suspended from the practice of law, as
provided in Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 12.3.
2. Andrewnetta Melissa Boyd shall comply with Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9 in all
respects and particularly as provided in Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28, regarding the
responsibilities of suspended attorneys.
3. Andrewnetta Melissa Boyd may make application for dissolution or
modification of this Order as provided in Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 12.3.
4. The Board shall cause notice of this additional suspension of Andrewnetta
Melissa Boyd to be published as required by Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 28.11.
