SHELBY COUNTY LAWYER CENSURED
On November 1, 2012, Jami Keith Ferrell, an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, received a
Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Mr. Ferrell failed to comply with the swearing in requirements of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 6 until
May 21, 2009. Prior to that time, Mr. Ferrell had already opened a law office in Tennessee and launched a
website promoting his legal services.
By the above acts, Jami Keith Ferrell, has violated Rule of Professional Conduct 5.5(a) (unauthorized
practice of law) and 8.4(a) (misconduct).
A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorneyâs ability to
practice law.
