NASHVILLE LAWYER SUSPENDED

On March 25, 2009, Elijah Blaine Sprouse was suspended from the practice of law for one (1) year
by Order of the Tennessee Supreme Court. The suspension becomes effective on April 4, 2009. Mr.
Sprouse is also ordered to pay the costs and expenses of the disciplinary proceeding.

The Board of Professional Responsibility filed a Petition for Discipline against Elijah Blaine
Sprouse pursuant to Rule 9 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Mr. Sprouse entered into a
Conditional Guilty Plea admitting to disciplinary violations related to two incidents of criminal conduct. On
February 20, 2008, Mr. Sprouse entered a plea of nolo contendre in Davidson County Criminal Court to a
misdemeanor charge of domestic assault. Further, Mr. Sprouse was arrested on February 1, 2008 in Ventura
County, California for driving under the influence and child endangerment. Respondent pled guilty to two
misdemeanor charges on March 19, 2008 related to this incident.

Mr. Sprouse’s actions violate Rule 8.4, Misconduct, of the Rules of Professional Conduct.

Mr. Sprouse must comply with the requirements of Supreme Court Rule 9, Sections 18 and 19
regarding the obligations and responsibilities of suspended attorneys and the procedure for reinstatement.
He may not resume practice until reinstated by further order of this Court.
