Disbarred by order entered August 29, 1986. He was found to be addicted to drugs and in May
of 1985, he pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance. His addiction adversely affected
his ability to practice law and he was aware of this problem. In January 1986, a Chancery Court
found that he had disappeared and abandoned his law practice. The Court appointed another
lawyer to inventory his files and protect the interest of his clients. Aggravating circumstances
were that he represented he would quit the practice of law until his addiction was overcome but
failed to do so; misrepresented himself to clients and to the hearing panel; failed to attend the
hearing on a disciplinary matter; and failed to cooperate and communicate with the attorney who
represented him at the hearing.
