ORDER OF REINSTATEMENT
This matter is before the Court, pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(d), upon a
Petition for Reinstatement filed on October 19, 2015, by the Petitioner, Shannon Allen
Jones. Mr. Jones' law license was temporarily suspended by Order of this Court on
December 22, 2011; Mr. Jones' license to practice law was suspended on September 13,
2012, for a period of three years. On February 12, 2016, the Hearing Panel entered its
Judgment of the Hearing Panel recommending that Mr. Jones be reinstated with
conditions. The Judgment of the Hearing Panel was considered and approved by the
Board on March 11, 2016.
Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 10.6(d)(2), Petitioner filed a petition for
reinstatement from administrative suspension (M2016-00242-SC-BAR-BP) on February
1, 2016, and said petition is pending before the Court.
From all of which the Court approves the Judgment of the Hearing Panel and
adopts the same as this Court's Order.
IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND
DECREED BY THE COURT:
1. The Petitioner, Shannon Allen Jones, is hereby reinstated to the practice of
law in the State of Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(d), subject to the
following conditions:
a. Mr. Jones shall engage, at his expense, Mr. John Dolan as a practice
monitor through December 31, 2017, and Mr. Dolan shall be required to
deliver quarterly written reports to the Board detailing Mr. Jones'
performance; and
b. Mr. Jones shall continue his participation in a monitoring agreement
with TLAP through December 31, 2017, and shall make the Board a
reporting entity.
2. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 24.3, Mr. Jones shall pay to the Board of
Professional Responsibility the expenses and costs of this matter in the amount of
$860.00, and shall pay to the Clerk of this Court the costs incurred herein within ninety
(90) days of the entry ofthis Order, for all of which execution may issue if necessary.
3. The Board of Professional Responsibility shall cause notice of this
reinstatement to be published as required by Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9,§ 28.11.
