PUBLIC CENSURE

The above complaint was filed against Johnny Quitman Rasbemy, in, an attorney licensed

to practice law in Tennessee, alleging certain acts ofmisconduct. Pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. Rt 9,

the Board of Professional Responsibility considered these matters at its meeting on June 10, 2016.

Mr. Rasherry was hired by a client in e divorce and received an agreed marital dissolution

agreement signed by both parties in June 20144 Mr. Rasherry failed. to. file the complaint for

divorce until February 2015, at which point the signed MDA was stale. The client filed
a
disciplinary complaint, and Mix Rasherry failed to timely respond to the complaint
The client’s
divorce was eventually completed in February 2016.

By the aforementioned acts, Mr. Rasbexry is in violation of Rules
of Professional Conduct
1.3 (diligence), 1.4 (communication), 3.2 (expediting litigation),
8.1 (disciplinary matters), and 8.4
(prejudice to the administration ofjustiee) and is hereby pubii
oly censured for this violation.
