Fall 2025 Issue of Board Notes

The Fall 2025 issue of Board Notes is now available. Board Notes is a semi-annual publication of the Board of Professional Responsibility which offers articles of interest and other information to Tennessee attorneys and judges such as recently-issued Formal Ethics Opinions and recent Disciplinary Actions. The Board of Professional Responsibility's Succession Planning CLE - Now Available

The Board of Professional Responsibility's Succession Planning CLE addresses how an attorney protects their own interests, clients, and the profession, by proactively planning for the transition, closing or selling of their practice and/or other unexpected interruptions. The Board’s CLE emphasizes the importance of planning ahead by designating in advance a receiver or successor attorney and provides checklists for closing one’s own office or someone else's practice. Attorneys will receive 1 Dual CLE Credit after completion of the course. Tennessee's Proactive Management-Based Regulation (Voluntary Self-Assessment) Now Available for All Tennessee Attorneys

Tennessee's Proactive Management-Based Regulation is a voluntary program created to help lawyers with their professional development. It is designed to mitigate risk, elevate competence, and enhance the quality of legal services delivered to clients. It gives you the chance to see what is working and what could be improved when it comes to law firm management and meeting professional obligations. The goal is to prevent problems before they arise. This should allow you to spend more time on cases.  Attorneys will receive 3 Dual CLE Credits after completion of the course.
